Who provides the services#

The services presented on mihailazar.net, media.mihailazar.net, build.mihailazar.net and contact.mihailazar.net are provided by Mihai Lazar, Bucharest, Romania. You can reach me at contact@mihailazar.net.

Services I provide#

• photography and video production (filming, editing, post production), presented on media.mihailazar.net;
• business websites, online stores and web apps (design, development, launch, maintenance), presented on build.mihailazar.net.

The exact scope of each project (what I deliver, in what format and by when) is the one in the accepted quote or contract.

Quote requests#

• The form on the /oferta pages is a request for information, not an order. It does not commit you to anything, and it does not commit me until I confirm.
• The date you send in the form is a preference. I only reserve it after confirming in writing that I am available.
• A quote becomes binding once you confirm it in writing (email or message) or we sign a contract. If the quote and these terms say different things, the quote applies.
• A quote is valid for the period stated in it. After that, the price and availability may change.

Booking and rescheduling#

The date and time confirmed in writing are reserved for you. If you need a different date, tell me as early as possible. Rescheduling depends on availability, and its conditions (how much notice is needed and any costs) are those set out in the quote.

If I cannot attend for reasons beyond my control (illness, accident, force majeure), I will tell you straight away and propose a new date. If we cannot find a suitable solution, I will refund the amounts paid for the services not provided.

Prices and payment#

Prices, the deposit, payment deadlines and the payment method are those in each quote. Prices shown on the pages, where there are any, are indicative until the quote is confirmed. I issue invoices as required by law. I do not take payments through the website.

Delivery#

The delivery deadline is the one in the quote. I deliver photos and clips through the private gallery on media.mihailazar.net/share or in another way agreed in the quote. Web projects are handed over in the form agreed in the quote, for example account access, source code or configured hosting.

Private galleries#

• The gallery link is personal. You may only pass it on to people who are entitled to see the material.
• Each gallery has an expiry date, shown on the page. Before then, download all the files and keep backup copies.
• After expiry, the gallery and its files are deleted automatically from online storage within 30 days at most. I only keep an archive of the project if the quote provides for one.
• Galleries may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance work or problems at the providers.

Copyright and licence#

The photos, footage, edits and other material I create are works protected by Romanian Law no. 8/1996 on copyright and related rights. The copyright stays with me.

Once paid in full, you receive a licence to use the material within the limits set in the quote: the purpose (for example personal, commercial or advertising), the duration, the territory and the channels. Unless the quote says otherwise, the licence is non exclusive, for personal use or for your company's own communication, without the right to resell the material or transfer it to others.

Cropping and resizing needed for publication are allowed. Other changes, such as filters or retouching done by someone else, require my agreement, because they alter the work.

For web projects, once paid in full, you receive the right to use, modify and host the delivered project, with no time limit. Third party components (open source libraries, fonts, themes, stock images, external services) remain under their own licences. General technical solutions and code that is not specific to your project may be reused in other projects.

Portfolio#

I may show a selection of the work in my portfolio, on my pages and on social media, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. If the project has to stay confidential (for example a private event or a product not yet launched), tell me before confirming the quote and we will put it in writing. Your obligations#

• you give me the information I need in good time: schedule, location, contact people, texts, material, account access;
• you make sure you have the right to use the material you give me (logo, texts, images);
• for the locations where we shoot or film, you obtain the permissions required, unless the quote says otherwise.

Liability#

I am liable for the services I provide, within the limits of the law. If, through my fault, a service cannot be provided, my liability is limited to the amount paid for that service. I am not liable for indirect losses, such as loss of profit, or for delays caused by information or material received late.

These limits do not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence and do not restrict your rights as a consumer. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by force majeure, under Article 1351 of the Romanian Civil Code.

I keep the information on the pages accurate and up to date, but it does not constitute a firm offer.

Consumer rights#

If you are a consumer and the contract is concluded at a distance (for example by email only), you have the rights set out in Romanian Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014, including, where it applies, the right to withdraw within 14 days. The law provides exceptions, for example for services related to leisure activities on a specific date, or for services fully performed with your express agreement. The quote will tell you if one of these exceptions applies.

Disputes#

Contracts are governed by Romanian law. We will first try to settle any disagreement amicably: write to me at contact@mihailazar.net and I will reply in writing as soon as I can.

If you are a consumer, you can also use alternative dispute resolution (SAL) through the SAL platform of ANPC (opens in a new tab), the Romanian consumer protection authority, where you submit your complaint. The European online dispute resolution platform (ODR) was closed on 20 July 2025, which is why I no longer show a link to it.

If we cannot reach an agreement, the dispute will be settled by the competent courts in Romania.

Changes#

I may update these terms. For a quote already confirmed, the version in force on the date of confirmation applies. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
